Frequently Asked Questions
The Organizing Process
How are decisions handled about what stays?
The decisions are always yours.
You won’t be rushed or pushed into anything. My role is to guide the process so decisions feel easier to make—without pressure.
Is there any judgment around the condition of my home?
No.
You’re not expected to have anything “figured out” before we begin. The focus is on understanding what’s there and helping your home work better.
Yes—for the parts that involve decision-making.
Because the process is personal, your involvement is important when determining what stays, what leaves, and how your home should function.
Once direction is clear, I can often work more independently to refine spaces and implement systems.
Do I need to be there while you're organizing?
Letting Go of Belongings
What if I have trouble letting go of things?
That’s often part of the process—especially when belongings carry emotional attachment, family history, or connections to different periods of life.
The goal isn’t to force decisions or move faster than you’re ready for. My role is to help you work through things with less overwhelm and greater confidence in what deserves space in your home.
Some decisions come easily. Others take more time—and that’s okay.
Sessions and Logistics
Do I need to buy organizing products beforehand?
No.
I start by working with what you already have whenever possible, so there’s no need to buy anything in advance.
If additional items would improve the space, I’ll recommend them as needed.
How does payment work?
3-hour sessions are paid in full at the end of the session.
For larger packages, a portion is taken at the first session, with the remaining balance split into two payments as the work progresses.
Payments are handled in person using cash, check, Zelle, or credit card.
Are there any additional costs I should be aware of?
In some cases, additional costs may include organizing products, travel time for locations outside the immediate service area, or parking. These are discussed in advance.
How long do I have to use my package?
Packages are intended to be used within six months of the first session.
What’s your cancellation policy?
At least 24 hours' notice is requested if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Please call or text as soon as possible.
Because each session is reserved specifically for you, late cancellations or missed appointments may still be billed as scheduled.
Organizing packages are non-refundable.
Additional Support
Can you help with moving or downsizing?
Yes.
I can help simplify before a move, guide decisions about what comes with you, and organize your new space in a way that supports how you’ll actually live there.
This work is most effective when there’s enough time to plan thoughtfully rather than making rushed decisions under tight timelines.
Support focuses on organizing, downsizing, and helping you settle into your new home. Clients will still need movers for transporting belongings, loading trucks, and handling large furniture or heavy lifting.
Can you help with donations?
Yes.
Each session includes one donation drop-off based on what can be reasonably transported. Additional arrangements can be made as needed.
Do you work with hoarded environments?
I work with clients who feel overwhelmed by the volume of belongings in their home and want compassionate, practical support.
Every situation is different. In some cases, additional therapeutic or clinical support may be beneficial alongside the organizing process.
